Our Committees

 

Church Council

Breckenridge Lutheran’s Church Council is comprised of members from our committees, and a few other caring folks. Learn more about our church council members here.

 

Missions/Evangelism Committee

The committee on Missions/Evangelism creates and oversees a program of benevolent giving and service to local, synodical, churchwide and world needs, and makes appropriate recommendations for such programs to the Church Council.

 

Worship Committee

The Worship committee meets quarterly with the pastor, accompanists, organists and choir directors to plan the worship service calendar and other worship schedules.

 

Finance/Stewardship Committee

The Finance/Stewardship committee monitors the financial health of the church. They design, lead and/or review efforts to raise funds for capital fund campaigns, debt reduction, or other such special fundraising projects. They also evaluate and make recommendations for financial accountability and loss management to the church council.

 

Christian Education Committee

The Christian Education committee works on the development of activities and curriculum for our Wednesday evening education programming. They coordinate with volunteers to teach classes and procure all needed materials for activities and lessons.

 

Property: Building, Grounds and Maintenance Committee

The Property committee develops and ensures policies and procedures related to the building, the grounds, and the contents. regular maintenance of the building, grounds and contents are property carried out. They assess the strategic needs of the church building, grounds and contents and make recommendations to the church council for future projects.
